Who We Are
Having successfully completed numerous joint venture projects together, Solebi Interiors and Blacksmith Africa Interior Design decided to formalise the relationship into a Level 2 BBBEE company.
By doing this both companies have been able to expand their potential by amalgamating almost 80 years of experience into a dynamic, cutting edge design company that ticks all the boxes in terms of experience, shared resources and BBBEE.

SAM NAIDOO
N. Dip Architectural Technology – Technikon Witwatersrand
Sam qualified as an Architectural Technologist and holds a N. Dip Architectural Technology from Technikon Witwatersrand. Immediately after graduation in 1997 his career commenced at Northpoint Architects & Designers where he received extensive exposure in both architecture and interior design. His involvement in projects includes interior architecture, hotel-and-casino interior detailing and corporate space planning. He is also the technical interface and conduit between the design team and contractors on site. Sam is a co-founding partner at Solebi Interiors since January 2000.
MONGOLI TSEKOA
BA (Hons) Interior Design, Huddersfield University, United Kingdom
After completing his B.A. (Hons.) degree in Interior Design in the United Kingdom Mongoli joined the build environment industry in South Africa. As co-founding Member of Solebi Interiors from January 2000 he has been director at Solebi for over 15 years. Mongoli began his Interior Design career at Northpoint Architects in 1998, honing skills in interior architecture and Interior Design. During his training he gained valuable relevant experience in the Hospitality and corporate design industry. He has had extensive experience in design development on numerous projects and later experience in client liaison creating a seamless interface between client and project. With over 15 years’ experience on numerous projects Mongoli remains committed to design excellence.
RYAN ILLGNER
BA (Hons) Interior Design, Design Centre, Greenside
Ryan has an honours degree in Interior Design and is a partner at Blacksmith Africa Interior Design. He oversees the technical side of
the business as well as fulfilling a project management role. He has been involved
in many of the large casino and hotel projects of Tsogo Sun Gaming / Southern Sun
Hotels .
